Jesús Martínez Almela and Wolfgang Glitscher to Chair the International Seminar on Project Management and Engineering (ISoPM)

The Organizing Committee of the 30th International Congress on Project Management and Engineering (CIDIP/ICPME 2026) has announced that the International Seminar on Project Management and Engineering (ISoPM), the Congress’s international program conducted entirely in English, will be chaired by two distinguished leaders in the global project management community: Jesús Martínez Almela and Wolfgang Glitscher.

The ISoPM is one of the Congress’s key internationalization initiatives, bringing together researchers, practitioners, and experts from around the world to share scientific advances, professional experiences, and emerging trends in project management and engineering. Its inclusion further strengthens the global profile of CIDIP/ICPME, which this year will welcome participants from more than twenty countries and feature proceedings indexed in international databases such as Scopus.

Jesús Martínez Almela is Vice President of AEIPRO–IPMA Spain and one of the most recognized figures in the international project management community. He has held several prominent leadership positions within IPMA, including serving as President of the International Project Management Association (IPMA) from 2018 to 2021 and as Chair of the Council of Delegates from 2021 to 2024.

He currently serves as IPMA Lead Validator, contributing to the quality assurance and development of IPMA Certification Bodies worldwide. In addition, he is an IPMA Honorary Fellow and has extensive international experience as an assessor and evaluator across Europe and Latin America.

Wolfgang Glitscher is a highly respected academic and professional in international project management. Since 2005, he has been teaching Project Management and International & Intercultural Project Management at Technische Universität Berlin, contributing for more than two decades to the education of managers and project professionals in global and multicultural environments.

He also lectures at Steinbeis University Berlin and maintains a strong connection with the international project management community through GPM, the German Project Management Association, one of the most influential member associations within the IPMA network.

The appointment of Jesús Martínez Almela and Wolfgang Glitscher as ISoPM Chairmen brings together a unique combination of professional expertise, institutional leadership, and academic excellence, further reinforcing the international standing of CIDIP/ICPME 2026.

The 30th edition of the Congress, organized by Universitat Jaume I – School of Technology and Experimental Sciences (ESTCE) and AEIPRO–IPMA, will take place from July 7 to 9, 2026, in Castellón de la Plana, Spain, bringing together researchers, professionals, companies, and institutions committed to advancing the fields of project management and engineering.
