Sivathanu Pillai, a Global Leader in Project Management, to Participate as a Guest Speaker at ISoPM
A. Sivathanu Pillai, a globally recognised leader in project management, will participate as a guest speaker at the International Seminar on Project Management and Engineering (ISoPM), the international programme of the 30th International Congress on Project Management and Engineering (CIDIP/ICPME 2026).
The renowned scientist and professor will deliver a keynote presentation entitled ‘Co-Creating a Global Transformation Through Project Management: Experiences from India‘, in which he will share his perspective on the role of project management as a driver of economic, technological and social transformation worldwide, drawing on his extensive experience in some of India’s most significant scientific and technological programmes.
ISoPM is one of the main internationalisation initiatives of CIDIP/ICPME. The seminar brings together researchers, professionals, executives and experts from different countries to exchange knowledge, present international experiences and discuss the challenges that will shape the future of project management and engineering.
Conducted entirely in English, ISoPM encourages the participation of international authors and delegates while strengthening the Congress’s global position as a meeting point for the scientific community, industry and professional organisations involved in project management.
The seminar will be led by two internationally recognised Co-Chairs: Jesús Martínez Almela and Wolfgang Glitscher, whose professional, academic and institutional backgrounds further reinforce the international dimension of this edition.
Dr. A. Sivathanu Pillai holds a PhD in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering and is a scientist, professor and internationally recognised figure in the fields of technology, innovation and project management. He has served as Chairman of PMA–Project Management Associates, the IPMA Member Association in India, and as Vice President of IPMA.
He has also held senior positions at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), IIT Delhi, the Indian Institute of Science and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). In addition, he was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of BrahMos Aerospace, one of the most significant technological initiatives in India’s aerospace and defence sector.
His participation in ISoPM 2026 will provide delegates with a unique perspective on leadership, technological innovation, complex programme management and the strategic direction of projects in highly demanding technological environments.
The 30th International Congress on Project Management and Engineering (CIDIP/ICPME 2026), organised by AEIPRO–IPMA Spain and the Universitat Jaume I – School of Technology and Experimental Sciences (ESTCE), will take place from 7 to 9 July 2026 in Castellón de la Plana, Spain.
