The City Council of Castellón de la Plana highlights the Congress as a benchmark of its congress tourism strategy
The City Council of Castellón de la Plana has highlighted the International Congress on Project Management and Engineering as one of the professional events that reinforce its commitment to congress tourism and the attraction of high value-added events.
The City Council has emphasized the hosting of several scientific and professional congresses in the city, including the 30th International Congress on Project Management and Engineering, organized by Universitat Jaume I (UJI) – Escuela Superior de Tecnología y Ciencias Experimentales (ESTCE), together with AEIPRO IPMA_Spain.
The congress will bring together in Castellón de la Plana specialists, researchers, companies, and institutions linked to project management and engineering, consolidating its position as one of the leading international forums for knowledge exchange in this field.
The congress organizers have expressed their strong appreciation for the city positioning the event as an example of its strategy to promote professional tourism and strengthen the destination’s international standing.
“The fact that the city highlights the International Congress on Project Management and Engineering within its event attraction strategy confirms the importance of project management for economic development, innovation, and collaboration between universities, businesses, and institutions,” the organizers stated.
They also stressed that the Congress generates significant economic impact in the host cities: “Each edition brings together around three hundred participants, who book hotel rooms and generate economic activity throughout the city.”
CIDIP / ICPME 2026 will take place from July 7 to 9 and will gather the international project management community for scientific sessions, professional experience exchange, and networking opportunities aimed at addressing current challenges in project management across key sectors.
The hosting of this event further reinforces the role of Castellón de la Plana as a venue for specialized events and as a meeting point for professionals and academics from different countries. In her statements, the Councillor for Tourism, Arantxa Miralles, also underlined that “congress tourism is a key driver in moving towards a more balanced and diversified tourism model.”
